About the Artist

Creativity has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began making art at the age of four, when my family first noticed how naturally drawn I was to creating and exploring the world through drawing and color.

When I was twelve, my grandfather took me to the Silvermine School of Art in Connecticut, where I began studying figure drawing. That experience opened the door to a deeper understanding of art and eventually led me to explore other mediums, including ceramics.

Later in life, I served in the United States Army, an experience that shaped my perspective and deepened my appreciation for expression and storytelling. After my service, I continued pursuing creativity and eventually studied graphic design.

Much of my journey as a painter has been self-guided. Over the years, I’ve developed my practice through experimentation and curiosity—learning by doing and constantly exploring new ways to express ideas visually.

Today I live in Kansas City, where I continue to build my artistic practice. I enjoy working across many different mediums—oil, acrylic, watercolor, and airbrush among them. Each material offers its own voice and possibilities, and I never want to limit the creative process by restricting myself to just one. For me, art is about discovery, and sometimes the medium itself becomes part of that exploration.

My inspiration comes from the everyday world around me: plants, people, objects, and the quiet beauty found in ordinary moments. I’m drawn to observing the details and energy of the things we see every day and translating them into something new on the canvas.
